Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped

“Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped” continues to be one of my favorite games of all time, and is certainly my favorite of the “Crash” franchise. It is beautifully designed, with a perfect flow of difficulty and variety of gameplay.  Read full review at PopuGamer...

Crayon Physics Deluxe

“Crayon Physics Deluxe” brought me back to the good ‘ol days of kindergarten - not the days of uncontrollable snot bubbles and dares to eat paste; no, I’m talking about the moments of discovery with the simplest tools available: a box of crayons.  Read full review at PopuGamer...

Every Day the Same Dream

“Every Day the Same Dream” is an art game about the repetition, conformity, and helplessness of urban living. The player is a businessman whose days are lost in habit -- wake up, turn off alarm, dress in business suit, ride elevator, drive through traffic, work at cubical, wake up, turn off alarm...

Flower

Like its predecessors (“Cloud” and “Flow”), “Flower” is an exercise in feeling game play. The game play is felt through the intuitive tilting of the controller and the one instruction: to “hold any button.”  Read full review at PopuGamer...

Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble

“Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble” is a special mix of charming artwork, witty banter, double entendres, female empowerment, and 1920’s winks. I am oddly reminded of the (much darker) 2005 film “Brick.” Both use 1920’s slang and sharp intellect to paint a culture of suspicion and intrigue that can only be conquered through smarts.  Read full review at PopuGamer...

The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom

On its surface, “The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom” is a quirky platformer in which a rotund gentleman collects pies in an “old timey” environment. However, at its core, “Misadventures” is a thesis on obsession...  [It] is one of those special, fun experiences that harnesses the potential of games as interactive ideas, by exploring the paradoxical absurdity of the rational mind.  Read full review at PopuGamer...

Myst

“Myst” is a classic 1st person, point-and-click adventure, which plunges the player into a cerebral world of intellectual and moral debate. By the touch of a book, you are transported to other worlds, where you learn secrets to navigation, hints to the psychology / demise of former inhabitants, and make choices about who to trust.  Read full review at PopuGamer...

CityVille

"CityVille" is more like an adult version of sticker book collecting than it is a social version of SimCity. The targeted audience for many Facebook games is adult women, usually mothers, and for them CityVille is an escape.  Read full review at PopuGamer...

Silent Hill 3

“Silent Hill 3” is one of the rare successful games with a female lead, and it is a strong addition to the Silent Hill horror game franchise. The story is complex, the characters are fallible and psychologically realistic, the environments are expertly crafted, the monsters are distorted and horrifically sexual, the sound is compelling and unsettling, and the gameplay is fluid and intuitive.  Read full review at PopuGamer...

Levers

“Levers” is a calming puzzle in the form of an art mobile, possibly inspired by the work of Alexander Calder. The player balances objects that fall from the sky and can be hooked onto a teetering scale.
